O-TOUR, O-VILLAGE, and O-TOUR Challenge: Three flagship brand events
Yangtze River Delta Orienteering Tour
O-TOUR
O-TOUR was founded in 2014 by experienced orienteering professionals from the Yangtze River Delta region. Its first competition was held in Nanjing in 2015, and to date, we have successfully hosted 11 editions. Events have taken place in over 10 cities across China, including Nanjing (2015), Yixing (2016), Dongshan, Suzhou (2017), Mingguang, Anhui (2018), Daixi, Huzhou (2019), Yixian, Anhui (2020), Taizhou, Jiangsu (2022), Xuancheng (2023), Taojiang, Hunan (2024), Xuyi, Jiangsu (2025), and Nanqiao, Chuzhou (2026). We deliver an authentic Nordic-style orienteering experience, inspired by O-Ringen (Sweden). Each event spans 4–5 days and is held on the last weekend of July each summer. While based in the Yangtze River Delta, our reach extends nationwide, with the goal of becoming a world-renowned orienteering competition. We apply rigorous standards to venue selection, ensuring every participant enjoys a high-quality experience. Our mission embodies exploration, sport, and community.

The first race is typically held around the opening ceremony venue, often in a park. It features categories for Juniors (age 12 and under), Youth Boys/Girls (12-17), and Adult Men/Women (18 and up). All participants compete on the same course simultaneously, racing to locate every checkpoint as quickly as possible; the fastest time wins. The individual time trial includes a separate prize pool, delivering a thrilling spectacle with high spectator appeal.
O-TOUR 3-Day Race
Individual Competition: Divided by age and gender into 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 21, 35, 45, and Adult Elite categories. Rankings are cumulative over three days, using 1:10000 or 1:15000 maps. The three days feature different terrain types: Day 1 is the longest and most challenging, Day 2 is moderate, and Day 3 is a medium distance with lower difficulty. Designed for competitors participating in all three days; requires advanced skill levels.
O-TOUR Open
There are difficulty-based groups (Hard and Easy) open to all participants regardless of gender, with daily rankings by group. Ideal for beginners or athletes unable to commit to the full event duration—those who can only participate in 1 or 2 days. Participants may choose their preferred difficulty level and compete alongside the three-day race.
